hqdefault (1)I could make this blog feature Sunday Morning Sondheim and fill up years’ worth of Sunday’s. My kids do a killer version of this song, without having a clue what it is about (they are seven and nine).

I tried to find a take from a performance but I don’t really like the Raul Esparza or the Neil Patrick Harris versions that are available on YouTube, so I went with this which is pretty great (though I prefer the 1995 cast recording most of all).

This comes from a D.A. Pennebaker documentary about the making of the cast recording from the original production in 1970 that has great stuff with Sondheim and an awesome Ladies Who Lunch with Elaine Stritch.
