It feels like epic week here at the FitzGordon house. We just finished watching the first movie of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The whole thing will add up to eleven and a half hours of movie. But it is just so good. It might be a bit much for my five year old but I am a bad parent, what can I say?
I am also reading Tune In: All These Years by Mark Lewishon. It is a monster of a book and only the first of three volumes. It is pretty amazing and the best part is the ability to listen to so much of what he references. From their first recording in the video above, to all their early influences like Elvis, Little Richard and especially to my ears Buddy Holly. The early Beatles were so like the Crickets is so many ways.
I am having a blast reading it.
