The plan was to put up Elephant Stone, a canadian band that I have been loving lately, but after watching the new Alex Gibney documentary about James Brown, Mr. Dynamite, I had to go with the video above.
I only got through the first half of Mr. Dynamite so far, and it appears to stop in the 1970’s which won’t cover the crazy period where he lost it for a while.
I only saw James Brown live once, I forget where, but I remember having to wait at least two hours for him to take the stage in a jam packed club with no air conditioning in the middle of the summer. He delivered but I am thankful that the days of hours long waits for bands seems to be a thing of the past.
