I saw these guys last night at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan. The Allah-Las opened for Nick Waterhouse. They both hail from Los Angeles recording on the same label with Waterhouse producing the Allah-Lahs record. Where the Allah-Lahs have the California psychedelic sound down, Waterhouse provides white soul with horns and back-up singers in a very rock n roll fashion. It was a really great set even if I was exhausted from having too much fun lately.
