Who knows why some bands are ignored while others manage to succeed with no excess of talent? Simon Rivers and The Bitter Springs have been making records since 1995 and they made a few more before that under the name The Last Party. I have been listening to The Bitter Springs since the late nineties and I never grow tired of them.  Rivers writes one great dark and cynical song after another and I don’t understand why more people don’t care.
