I went with my kids to see The Waterboys in Prospect Park this past Friday and they played this song which was a special treat. They were good enough that I’ll be going again when they come back in October. They were a favorite band of mine for a long time and then lost me as so many bands do.
I left the concerrt talking to my daughter about the difficulty that artists have, particularly rock musicians, in sustaining quality work over long periods of time. I warned her that it might not be best to peak in her 20’s (she’s seven).
