All that Jazz was a major movie in my life. Growing up in New York, the Ziegeld Theater was the place to see movies and when All That Jazz first came out we saw it at the Zigfield numerous times. At that moment in time my childhood feelings for Cyd Charisse blossomed into full blown lust for Ann Reinking. I was sixteen! I haven’t seen the movie in a while and watching these videos takes me right back to why I loved it so (I am a big Fosse fan in general). As I have been putting up movie clips these last few weeks I am amazed at the through line I am finding in what I thought was a life of many disjointed interests.
